On our mission to help broadcasters, streamers and content creators to deliver more interactive experiences and streamline production workflows, at the beginning of 2019 we introduced our Graphics Builder, an easy-to-use solution to create advanced visualizations of social content and audience participation for live streaming, broadcast, digital signage and events. During the past months we kept adding new features:
- External data binding support for any graphic element
- New building blocks support
- Creation of custom widgets
- Drag & Drop and resizing feature
- Updated Remote control application for Producers and On-Air talent
This is why we are really glad to see how our customers are leveraging the power this solution's capabilities during their shows. Such is the case of Multishow that has been using Flowics' cloud graphics during Prêmio Multishow and Rock in Rio YouTube live coverage. Read the case!
New! Facebook Live Polls & Live Questions
Live video streaming continued to rise in popularity during 2019, and Facebook became one of the preferred social platforms for broadcasters, streamers and creators of live video content (specially after securing the rights to broadcast UEFA and CONMEBOL Libertadores games )
To help streamers deliver a more interactive experience, Facebook has released a set of new interactive live video features in order to push further active video consumption. FB Live polls and Live Questions are part of this initiative, and during this year we happily announced the support for these 2 mechanics.
This support enables our customers to:
- Set up questions, collect and curate responses and share the best answers with the Facebook Live audience.
- Combine live questions with live polls in the same playlist, as part of the rundown of your show. Use our remote control application to put questions live and to moderate responses to show on air.
- Display answers and polls' results either using cloud-based graphics created with our Graphics Builder or through your preferred graphics system (Vizrt, Chyron, Avid, etc), depending on your live video production infrastructure.
Flowics was the chosen platform to build cloud graphics and power FB Live Polls & Live Questions during Copa Libertadores de America and UEFA Champions League Live Streams on Facebook Watch!
New! Mechanics for 2nd screen viewer participation
With so much content available in so many different platforms, one of the keys to retain audiences and increase viewership is to include participation mechanics to avoid a zombie-like passive content consumption experience. This is why this year we added new tools and features that could help our customers better engage viewers with 2nd screen interactive experiences.
Polls & quizzes. Users can now create different types of polls and quizzes that can be embedded on the broadcasters’ apps or websites.
Scoring mechanic. Viewers have the opportunity to rate their favorite artists or players after each show/match.
Check them out in our Widgets Catalog.
With this in mind, we developed our "Story" widget. This new addition enables users to build their own playlist of mechanics (combining polls, scoring mechanics, etc) that can be easily triggered at any moment of the show using our remote control app.
These are just some examples of how our customers have been using these features during 2019:
